Where Do I Purchase My Roof Tile?

With great idea resources like and, more home owners are taking a proactive approach to re-roofing by doing research on their roofing materials before they actually hire a roofer. We love that! We encourage our home owners to do their research so they can get acquainted with the various types of roofing materials and manufacturers in their market. However, we are often approached by home owners who would like to purchase tile directly from us without going through their roofer. We don’t sell tile directly to our home owners and here’s why:

1. Your roofer is the professional installing your tile. Your roofer works with you from beginning to end. They will know the ins and outs of your roof before you start. A roof is not something you want to piece together – it is important to have one “manager” of the entire project.

2. Before any roofing materials are ordered, your roofer carefully measures out your roof to ensure the right amount of tile is ordered. While we do have quite a bit of roofing knowledge, we are only the manufacturer and cannot help you determine the amount of product you will need. Your roofer will also know the amount of waste to expect with the ridges and valleys of your particular roof.

3. Your roofer can foresee any problem areas or design obstacles that need to be addressed. This might occur among the valleys, gables or other places on your roof.

4. Roofers know exactly how much trim tile they need to order. Trim tile is pricier than field tile – you don’t want to order more than your roof needs. Likewise, shortages are also costly and cause challenges and delays.

While we love to work with our home owners on profile and color selection, your actual tile order is best taken care of by your roofer. If you need help finding a reputable roofer in your area, please call us at 863.467.0042.

Stock, Non-Stock and Custom Tiles

With the debut of our new product collection brochure, we have slightly altered the way we refer to certain tile. In attempt to simplify a few things we hope to make the tile selection process an easy one. Previously we referred to our tile as either “in stock” or “custom”.  Now, we place our tile into three different categories; in stock, non-stock and custom. With 5 profiles, 81 stocked colors, 1000’s of stocked blends, 28 non-stocked products and our custom product options, you will be sure to find exactly what you are looking for at Entegra. But first, let’s take a look at exactly what each category means.

TruckStock Tile – This refers to our standard products that we keep in the yard. For your convenience and our efficiency, these are already produced and ready for pick up or delivery! In stock tile includes our most popular products.  As you can see with 81 colors and 1000’s of blends to choose from we stock an enormous amount of tile in the yard just waiting for your order!

ClockNon-Stock Tile –While we make these 28 different products often, we do not keep these in the yard; therefore they are made to order. Standard pricing applies. Non-stocked items are available within three to four weeks but don’t forget to check with your roofer on lead times.

Custom Tile –At Entegra we understand that an off-the-shelf roofing product may not work for every home. With our state-of-the-art production facility and our sophisticated equipment, we are able to produce nearly any color imaginable. This is where we continue to offer you the opportunity to create a roof that will be a perfect fit for your home. By choosing a base color, antique/flashing and then a texture, you can create your own unique roof tile. Our product ID system makes it easy to manipulate each element to get exactly what you are looking for. For example, after choosing a base color, select an antique and texture combination to achieve the style you are looking for. A white antique on a Tan tile has a much different style that Tan tile with black and brown antique.  Here’s a sample of our product ID System and how we identify each part of a product.

As always we recommend making your final color selection from full size samples. And when choosing custom tile, it is important to keep in mind that tile is constructed with raw materials and even though we are careful in the raw materials that we purchase, variations are inevitable. Roof tiles cannot be manufactured to a perfect match, but we can get pretty darn close! If you desire a specific color that we do not have already, be sure to give us a swatch or color sample for us to match when making custom samples.

Custom tile is made to order but can be produced within three to four weeks. Standard pricing also applies to custom tile, however for custom products there is a one time set up fee. Please contact your roofer to confirm lead times and associated set up fees.

We hope this clears a few things up for you and simplifies your tile selection process. For more information please visit our website at You’ll be glad you did!

Our Newest Product Collection Brochure is Hot off the Press!

For the past few weeks we have taken a break from our social media to concentrate on getting our new Product Collection Brochure ready for you. We are thrilled to announce it is hot off the press!

We’ve made a few changes from years past, and we hope you’ll find it easier than ever to use. One of the first changes you’ll notice is that each profile collection is comprised of stock and non-stock items:

  • Stock products are identified by the truck icon – these products are stocked and typically available for pick-up or delivery.
  • Non-stock products are identified by the clock icon – these products have standard pricing, but the item is made to order. You can generally expect to see non-stock items within four weeks.

Entegra will continue to offer Custom Products which are outlined on Pages 34 and 35 of the new brochure.

The Quick Code has made its debut in our new catalog. Each product has been given a unique four digit code. Rather than stating the profile, base color, antique color, texture and more when referring to a particular product, you can now simply utilize the Quick Code to identify each product and blend. If you’re more comfortable with our traditional Product ID though, you’re welcome to continue to use that until you become familiar with the Quick Codes. It should also be noted that smooth textures, whether the tile has been sealed, and the location of nail holes have been omitted from this catalog’s Product IDs. For instance, S-CACL-AA-Y-SM-15 has been shortened to S-CACL-AA in the new catalog.

As always, we know everyone loves to see as many house photos as possible. In addition to images sprinkled throughout the catalog, we’ve included six pages of photo galleries for your viewing pleasure. These are great inspiration for home owners! If you haven’t seen this edition yet, no worries – your sales rep should be around soon with your copy. You can also find our newest brochure at a distributor near you or even right here on our website. Happy browsing!

Plant Tours at Entegra

The quality of our roof tile is extremely important to us. We have worked very hard over the years to make sure we are using top notch ingredients and producing the best quality tile in the industry. Every day we are learning about new materials and methods to improve our tile. Part of our ability to provide a superior product is our state-of-the-art production facility. Centrally located right here in Okeechobee, it is one of the most automated tile manufacturing plants in the world, having the ability to produce 130 pieces of tile per minute! From our three main production lines, an automated strapping system and our vast yard, our plant is truly a sight to see.

Entegra Roof Tile – Production Line

A new roof can be a large investment, and we think that you should be able to see how and where your roof tile is made – that’s why our doors are always open. We invite our customers to take a tour! First, we will take you through the back of the plant where you will see where the raw materials are brought in. From there we will take you through each step of the production process. Throughout the tour, you will find that we administer several quality control tests on the tile from each production line several times throughout the day to ensure your tile is well above code requirements. After walking through pre-strapping and packaging, you will be guided through the yard to see our stock tile and how we keep our inventory.

Visitors are always pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoy seeing our plant in production, and the response from every tour has been overwhelmingly positive. How to: Instant Access to our Installed Roof Address Database

Are you questioning the tile samples you have chosen and how they may look once installed? What if you could see a completed home in the same tile that you are considering?

In the past, our sales reps, design center representatives and even customer service have been able to look up addresses of homes in your area for you to view before making a final decision. Now, we offer this tool right on our website. You can now access our database of addresses, searching by the profiles and colors of your choice.  This tool is even accessible from your smartphone or other mobile device, proving to be extremely beneficial while driving around and looking at houses.

There are a couple of ways to use this tool. We will walk through both.

To search our database directly, go to This is our Installed Locations page. Here the page shows all products on the map. You can narrow down your selection by excluding certain profiles on the bottom right hand corner of the page.  The search box at the bottom left side of the page is very helpful. You can narrow your search down even further by entering in a base color or certain texture. Our Installation Finder will return all results in our system. Or, if you know exactly which tile you would like to see, go ahead and type the full product code in the search box and watch the purple dots appear on the map! Pretty convenient, right?

The locations are identified by purple dots. By clicking on each dot, you will find the address and information of where the home is located.

Here’s a second way to search the database. Let’s say that you are browsing roof tile right on our website and you land on a product page of a particular tile. If you like what you see and would like to see it in person click on “Find Locations” right under the information section.

Again, a map will appear with the available locations of completed homes identified by a purple dot.

By default, the map will show all of the locations that are not gated. If you would like to view roofs located in gated areas as well, click on the drop down box in the upper right hand corner of the screen and change the answer to “yes”.

Our Installation FInder is a great tool to quickly find installations near your home or business. However, we always recommend contacting Customer Service or your local Entegra Rep before traveling long distances, as we prefer to double check our information to confirm that all jobsite and gate code information is accurate before you travel out of your way.

Happy hunting!
